DJ Concept is DJ & host of the nationally heard radio show THE
MIX CHRONICLES He has been DJing for over 9 years and brings
much hip hop knowledge to the table. As a true crate digger
and vinyl fanatic he has learned about so many different
styles of music. Though dedicated to his craft, you might
catch him listening to jazz, funk and rock more than anything
else.
Growing up in the golden era, he knew that taking DJing and
music to a higher level was what he wanted to accomplish.
By himself and with the help of his crew, Concept has done all
types of music related work including blessing mixtapes (up in
smoke, the takeover, connex list mixtape), being hip hop
director at his college radio station (WQAQ 98.1), hosting his
own college radio show for 4 years (da underground, live &
direct), DJing & performing at various nightclub spots in NYC
(club downtime, don hills, webster hall, the pyramid), doing
guest DJ sets on many radio shows (ghetto radio WUSB, downlow
hip hop show, NJ), producing for his crew (Crisis Center) as
well as, other artists around the world, composing score music
for independent feature films (the adversary, mhz productions)
- the list goes on and on.
The newest addition is THE MIX CHRONICLES. DJ CONCEPT & MICKEY
KNOX hopes to continually take the show to a new level each
time the needle drops. It can be heard nationwide on HIP HOP
NATION, Sirius Satellite Radio. Tune in for a dope session
